Being Quirky Has It's Privileges...most of the time

When I had my logo designed a few months back, I told my friend/designer, Raquel, that I wanted something quirky. I am sort of a quirky guy, so I thought that I should have a quirky logo. I said to Raquel, "How about a monkey with a dollar sign on it's head?" She said, "well...okay...let me see what I can come up with." Two days later she emailed me this logo. I fell in love with it. I was completely ready to make this monkey a key component in the Pete the Planner brand. Although Raquel loved the monkey too, she convinced me that it probably was a bad idea. Thus, the monkey was shot down.  I still love this monkey and I think that he needed some well deserved exposure. I am thinking of making him my Blog Monkey. I am officially having a "name the Blog Monkey" contest. Please submit your ideas by emailing me or just by posting a comment on this blog.  The winner of the contest will receive a free copy of my book.  Be creative. The cyber-life of this monkey is in your hands.

First I think Racquel is a very wise brand consultant--continue to listen to her!!!

Second, my daughter Brooke would like for you to name the Monkey Bobo...because that is what she calls everyone these days (btw, she's 20 months old...). But since that will not likely win...I'm going with Cash. Cash the Monkey!

Although this is a cute monkey - to me he represents the monkey on my back - DEBT. Like the monkey, credit card debt seems harmless and fun ...at first. But the goal is to get rid of that monkey - to dump him - or chuck him off your back. So I suggest a name that is also the goal and motto: "Chuck the Monkey"
