Mr. Fix-it
Men and women are different. Yes, that was profound. I should just stop my entry there. I would, but I probably should explain that thought a little further. Usually when men identify a problem, such as a lack of a budget, they immediately determine whether or not they care enough to fix the problem. If they do care enough, then they go on a problem fixing mission. They often get bossy, and start barking out orders like they are waitresses yelling at a short-order grill cook. They feel that the problem solving mission needs a leader, so they generally step up. Although fixing your budget situation needs leadership, it is best accomplished with co-leaders. Therefore, this blog entry is for all the men (like me) that when faced with solving a problem usually don't look for input from others. We usually attack the problem in a hardcore way that alienates our partner. My message to you: relax and tackle the problem together. Not even the best Christmas present ever, my Fisher Price tool belt (pictured above circa 1981) can fix a budget problem alone.
