Credit Theater -- Starring Sidney Poitier

Have you ever examined the concept of credit from an idiot's perspective? By idiot, I mean a stripped down simple definition. If you haven't, then allow me to be the village idiot.
The following scenario will be a role play type situation. The role of the idiot, Pete the Planner, will be played by Oscar winning actor Sidney Poitier. The role of the world's first lender will be played by TV's Alan Thicke.
Situation #1 The Home Loan
Sidney: How's it goin?
Alan: Fine. Why are you being so friendly? You must need something from me. You usually don't talk to me.
Sidney: Well, actually....I like this house. And I don't have $250,000. Have you ever thought about giving me $250,000 for this house, and then I will probably pay you back over time.
Alan: What a strange request. I have $250,000 that I am not using. I guess I could give it to you. If I give you $250,000, then I want $600,00 back from you.
Sidney: That doesn't make a ton of sense to me, but it feels so good to say yes. I need shelter, and a house does seem to go up in value the longer I hold on to it.
Alan: Okay, I will give you money for this, but you must pay me back over the next 30 years.
Sidney: 30 years. Wow! I don't even know what I am having for dinner tonight. Who knows what will be going on in 30 years> Oh well, let's do it.
And scene.
That didn't seem that strange. It actually makes some sense to borrow money for that scenario. Stay tuned for more Credit Theater. The next episode stars Samuel L. Jackson as Pete the Planner. See what happens when Samuel L Jackson needs money to buy an Extra Value Meal at McDonalds.
P.S. Let me know if you like Credit Theater. Your feedback will determine its life.

Credit Theater...almost as good as Masterpiece Theater was on PBS! Please continue the script. I tend to use what I learn to impress my wife! BTW, if you can find a way to get Bill Bixby into the mix, well that would be great!
