I spoke to a Multiple Sclerosis support group last night about planning properly once you know that you have MS. The group of ladies I spoke to were wonderful. Some of them had done some planning, some hadn't, and others were in extreme need of help. It got me thinking. Unfortunately, it usually takes a major event to get people off the sidelines into the game of financial planning. I guess that makes financial planning much like everything else in life. I was very proud of a number of the women in that room because they were being very proactive in regards to their planning. I hope it doesn't take a disease like MS to wake the majority of people up to the benefits of long term planning.

Speaking of waiting. Only 24 days until the 2007 NFL Draft. Mrs. Planner can count me out of that weekend's activities. I willl be on the couch. Oh, and I practice what I preach. I have already PLANNED my snacks for that weekend. Three cheers for planning.
