If you are thirsty...don't drink too much

On the eighth day God created Gatorade in the can. You know what I'm talking about if you have ever had one. They are nearly impossible to find now. Gatorade almost completely eliminated production. I don't understand why though. I would pay five bucks a can for it. It goes down sooooooo smooth. I was pining for a can this weekend, and it got me thinking about small business people (okay, I admit that I wasn't thinking about small business people this weekend, but work with me here). For those of you that have had this refreshing beverage, let me put this situation in front of you. Imagine that you have just run 3 miles in 90 degree weather, and you know that you have a Gatorade in a can in your fridge at home. The problem is that you are only allowed to drink 1 ounce. It would be absolute torture to do this, but it is the only Gatorade in a can that you have, and it has to last you a few more runs. Seems nearly impossible doesn't it.

That is what small business owner guy faces on a daily business. A business owner receives revenue, and then must decide how much of that revenue he/she is going to pass through as income. If they pay themselves too much, then they might run out of money later. They might run out of money prior to more revenue coming in. This single phenomenon is responsible for ruining the largest number of small businesses. I see it everyday. If you know a small business person, chances are they are struggling with this. They must pay themselves a minimal amount, just enough to pay the bills. They must live lean until they build up enough of a surplus to pay themselves a study salary that never fluctuates. It's much harder than it seems, but it makes all the difference in the world.

****If you know where I can buy Gatorade in a can, then you will become reader of the month.*****
