I love economics

The patron saint of high school economics, Cal Ewing (not picutred above) taught me all about supply and demand. He told me how it drives the economy, and how it is the basis of modern economics. He never quite touched on black market supply and demand. He never put any articles in front of us that said Cocaine Shortages Boosts Prices. Fortunately, the Indianapolis Star did. Due to fantastic police work, coke prices are on the rise. A kilo of coke will now cost you and your family $24,000 instead of $17,000. As a financial expert, I suggest planning accordingly.
I never thought that some drug dealers would benefit from such great police work. Cal Ewing (not pictured above) would appreciate this problem for what it is, economics at work.

I can just see it now at my monthly family budget meeting. Honey, I am sorry but coke prices have skyrocketed you are going to have to get a job. We cannot afford this lifestyle on just my income alone.
